GEN UK

We are part of the Global Entrepreneurship Network, a global movement active in 200 countries.

GEN UK represents the entrepreneurial ecosystem across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, working with entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, researchers, public bodies and support organisations.

GEW

The inspiration for GEN, Global Entrepreneurship Week, was created in 2007 by the UK Government and the Kauffman Foundation in the US.

Since 2008 we have celebrated Global Entrepreneurship Week every November, joining 10 million people at 35,000 events across the world.

200 COUNTRIES

GEN has built a presence around the world integrating the work of governments and NGOs to create one global entrepreneurial ecosystem open to all.

Our network of ‘alternative embassies’ in 200 countries enables us to connect UK organisations with the rest of the world.

SUPPORT PROGRAMMES

GEN operates a range of support programs such as Global Business Angels Network, Global Enterprise Registration, Startup Huddle, GEN Space, GEN Starters Club, and Startup Open. Through the Global Entrepreneurship Research Network (GERN) and GEN’s Startup Nations policymaker network, GEN helps identify and crowdsource best-in-class policies and public programs that help entrepreneurs thrive.

GEN holds its Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC) and Startup Nations Summit annually to connect researchers, policymakers and community leaders. You can find out more about GEN at genglobal.org

GEN UK HUB

Here in the UK we serve the start and scale ecosystem through our HUB. The HUB has been developed with our partners at WorldLabs.

It provides the community with opportunities to discover, meet and collaborate. From accessing resources to building enterprises the HUB gives you the tools you need.
