This week the British Library’s Business and IP Centre Network celebrates 20 years of supporting founders turn aspiration into enterprise. Since 2006 BIPC has helped 300,000 people in libraries and online go from kitchen table to global brands, turn side hustles into livelihoods, make impacts and create jobs. From a single Reading Room in the British Library, BIPC has grown into a thriving network of more than 70 libraries across the UK supporting over 40,000 people every year to start, protect and grow their businesses. GEN UK congratulates BIPC on achieving this milestone and being the nation’s leading pioneer enabling entrepreneurship to flourish in towns and cities up and down the country. Together we have celebrated Global Entrepreneurship Week every year since its start in 2008 and continue to roll out Startup Huddle meet-ups in Oxford and Manchester with other cities expected to follow. We look forward to supporting BIPC to make the next 20 years an even bigger success. Find out more at bl.uk/bipc
